Clyfford Still

An abstract representation of the Clyfford Still Museum.

blue.jpg

The Clyfford Still Museum houses the work of a single artist - painter Clyfford Still - and is an architectural work of art in itself. The building uses concrete as a diffuser of natural light throughout, which both protects paintings from UV damage while providing an optimal viewing experience of the work.

I aimed to capture the essence of this building into an abstract 3D representation that highlighted the power of manipulating light, the physicality of the elements used throughout the building, and the users’ movement throughout the building.

Notes: This model is created from CNC cut-wood, laser-cut acrylic, LED light strips, and quick-crete.
