Værk Stol

A versatile stool for automotive workshops.

The Problem: When working in my workshop, I often spend long periods of time bending and kneeling while tinkering on cars. Mechanics often work in tight spaces and have back and knee issues, which become stiff and uncomfortable while working.

The Solution: The Vaerk Stol switches between two positions to allow the user to sit or kneel. With a lightweight, low-profile design and no moving parts, it is a practical, simple solution for multiple workshop scenarios. In the one-legged sitting position, the user can pivot side-to-side. In the kneeling position, the angled construction reduces pressure on the knees.

Skills/Notes: Physical prototyping in wood and cardboard. Manual CNC machining. Created during EIS Copenhagen studies.
